Only 29.5 per cent of the quizzed people said they would vote in support for the ruling Democrat Party in the forthcoming general election, according to the Abac poll results released on Saturday.
The opinion poll on “How the Impartial People Think”, involved 5,470 samples in 28 provinces, was conducted from Jan 20 to Feb 5, said Noppadon Kannikar, director of the Abac poll at Assumption University.
“Nearly 40 per cent of the respondents would vote for other political parties, while 36.9 per cent of them have not made the decision”, Mr Noppadon said.
According to the poll, 28.6 per cent supported prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and as many as 87.5 per cent said they were getting bored with the ongoing political conflict.
