Red shirt leaders Arisman Pongruangrong and Suporn Atthawong have been accused of receiving free air tickets by claiming they are MPs.
Mr Arisman is a former MP with the People Power Party and Mr Suporn was an MP with the Thai Rak Thai Party. Both parties have been disbanded for electoral fraud.
Democrat Party MP for Phitsanulok Warong Dejkijvikrom asked Transport Minister Sohpon Zarum at yesterday's meeting of the House of Representatives about an incident in which Mr Arisman and Mr Suporn allegedly tricked Thai Airways International ticketing staff into giving them free tickets.
Mr Warong said he had learnt that the two men claimed to THAI staff on Monday at Khon Kaen Airport that they were MPs and eligible for free tickets. They were travelling to Bangkok.
The transport minister said he would check to see if anyone else had claimed to be an MP to get a free ticket.
Mr Arisman and Mr Suporn told reporters yesterday they had no intention of deceiving the THAI staff into giving them free tickets. They said they paid for them later.
