The South Korean Coast Guard said Saturday that at least one person was killed and eight are missing after their fishing boat collided with a freighter late Friday.

Authorities say the fishing vessel, Kumyan 98, was hit by a Cambodian-registered ship. The fishing vessel was one of several trawlers searching for survivors of last week's sinking of a Korean warship near the western maritime border with North Korea.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency is reporting that the Coast Guard has found and identified the body of the nine-member crew from the fishing boat.
