Thais, who have opposed the early- House dissolution, plan to stage a mass rally to show their voice on April 16 at the 11th Infantry Regiment, a local television reported Wednesday.
The government's Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situation (CRES), or also known as the Emergency Operations Command, is located inside the 11th Infantry Regiment in capital Bangkok's Banghen district.
Several thousands of the group's supporters are expected to join the rally, which will start at 9.0 a.m., on April 16, the state-owned NBT television reported.
In a related development, members of the "yellow-shirt" group nationwide plan to travel to Bangkok to attend a meeting to be held on April 18 in order to assess the country's political situation.
The movements of the two groups have been made amid the ongoing rally by the "red-shirts", who have pressured Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to "immediately" dissolve the lower House of parliament and hold a new general election.
The "red-shirts" have viewed that, apart from the House dissolution, there is no other solution to the country's ongoing political conflict.
