The New Politics Party, founded by the yellow-shirt People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), objected the plan to amend the 2007 constitution.
"All sides should stop considering amending the charter because it could lead to changes that have hidden agendas and more problems would follow," New Politics spokesman Samran Rodphet said on Sunday.
Mr Samran said the Democrat Party was not decisive on this issue. This indicated that the Democrats and their coalition partners may have agreed that some articles should be revised.
"The New Politics Party would like the Democrat Party, as the coalition's head, to abide by justice and people's faith before making decisions," he said.
